Use this guide if you set up a rule in the Outlook desktop app to forward Square invoices to Ship.com and now want to disable or remove it.
-
Open Outlook Desktop
Launch Outlook on the computer where you normally use this email account. -
Open “Manage Rules & Alerts”
-
In the ribbon, go to the Home tab.
-
Click Rules → Manage Rules & Alerts…
(Alternatively: File → Manage Rules & Alerts.)
-
-
Locate the Square → Ship.com rule
In the E-mail Rules tab, find the rule that:-
Is named something like “Ship.com Square Invoice Forwarding”, and/or
-
Has a condition like “from
invoicing@messaging.squareup.com” and an action like “forward it to” your Ship.com forwarding address.
-
-
Disable the rule (to pause forwarding)
-
To stop forwarding but keep the rule for later, clear the checkbox next to that rule.
-
Click Apply.
-
-
Delete the rule (to fully remove forwarding)
-
To permanently remove the forwarding, click the rule to highlight it, then click Delete.
-
Confirm you want to delete the rule.
-
Click Apply, then OK to close the window.
-
After this, Square invoices will no longer be forwarded to Ship.com from this Outlook desktop account. Previously imported orders will remain available in Ship.com.
Note: If you’re using the new Outlook for Windows (the one that looks more like Outlook on the web), the rule management screen is essentially the same as Outlook Web App. In that case, follow the Outlook Web App instructions here.
