Hey there! Ready to protect your precious shipments? Ship.com just made getting Insurance ridiculously easy by partnering with Shipsurance. No complicated insurance speak here – just straightforward steps to shipping confidence!

Can You Get Coverage? (Spoiler: Probably Yes!)

Your shipment's good to go if:

  • You're shipping from anywhere in the US (that's right, anywhere!)
  • Your package is worth up to $2,000
  • You're using UPS or USPS
  • Your shipment has tracking (but duh, we always include that!)

How to Add That Sweet Protection 🛡️

  1. Jump into your Ship.com account
  2. Start creating your label
  3. Tell us what awesome stuff you're shipping and its value
  4. Look for the "Insurance" checkbox under the “Additional Options” section on the label creation page (when using our desktop site). You’ll find it on the checkout page when using mobile.
  5. Hint: You can buy insurance for the contents or the shipping cost itself. 
  6. Check out the super-low insurance cost (just 0.75% of your package value)
  7. Hit that checkbox and boom – you're protected!

Something went wrong? Don't sweat it! Here's your stress-free claim process:

  1. Log into your Ship.com dashboard
  2. Find your shipment (super easy with our search)
  3. Click "File Insurance Claim"
  4. Fill out the basics (we've already filled in most of it for you!)
  5. Tell us what happened
  6. Upload any photos or docs you have
  7. Submit and relax!
