How can I print labels with my normal laser or inkjet printer?
And how to add a personalized message to your labels.
If you’re using a normal laser or inkjet printer, choose Normal - Half Page as your printer format before checkout.
Ship.com will generate two labels per page for a standard (normal letter-sized) 8.5" x 11" paper. When you purchase your label, it will open the PDF, and you have to send that file to your printer.
If you’re using a thermal printer instead, Ship.com also supports Thermal - Wide and Thermal - Skinny label formats.
You can only print two labels per page when using a desktop printer. If you'd like to use smaller labels check out our other label formats.
Where do I find my printer options?
Where you see printer settings depends on whether One-Click Purchase is turned on or off.
If One-Click Purchase is turned off
After you choose a label, you’ll see the printer options there. From the printer dropdown, choose the format that matches your setup:
- Normal - Half Page
- Thermal - Wide
- Thermal - Skinny

If One-Click Purchase is turned on
You’ll see the printer option on the right side under Additional Options before purchasing your label.

How to personalize your labels?
You can add a custom message to the bottom of your shipping labels by going to Settings > Personalization in Ship.com. This is a simple way to make your shipments feel a little more personal.
You can also individually change each label's messaging when you have One-Click Purchase turned Off.
